How to Wear Flannel Without Looking Like a Tool
Oh, plaid. You are the prairie dog of trends, popping your flannel little head in and out every couple of years.
This girl is ferocious. The black tights plus the jacket equal instant roar.
Biggie loved you. Al from Home Improvement loved you too. But this year flannel, you are on the A-list. You aren’t just for the workshop, hip-hop, or Eddy Vedder anymore. This year, we ♥ u plaid.
Call it tartan, flannel, or plaid. However you slice it, stores are stocked on the print with high hopes of fall/holiday flannel-mania. Mall rats now look like troves of little lumberjacks. And who could blame them?

The cowboy boots make this cutest outfit on the farm. Hands down.
This unisex look suits every one from the tool shed to the runway. However, there are rules to this trend.
So how do the grown and sexy partake in the plaid festivities without looking like they snagged their outfit off a Supermodelquin ? Sorry Old Navy, but they creep America out.

Plaid excellently squeezed into this outfit. It makes me want to work out everyday and dye my hair black.
There are great ways to appreciate this look without the usual button down shirt. Wear the print as an accessory. Little knock off Keds in a flannel print would be a great example of this.
Flannel print coats are also a great way to stand out and stay current at the same time. If you just have to rock the flannel button down, try it oversized. Or try in undersized.
Basically, the trick to this look is wearing it exactly how its NOT supposed to be worn.
But then there’s plaid abuse.

These boots give my eyeballs dyslexia.
