Hail to the chief!
CNN has projected that Barack Obama has won the White House. Regardless of who you voted for, this is a momentous day for America. Who would have thought that in our lifetime we would see a black president? This is huge, and I thank all of my peers who got out and voted, no matter who you supported. Monique and I have popped a bottle of champagne, not to toast Obama, but to toast America. To toast democracy. To toast the future.
It is now time to come together and help rebuild America. Republicans, Democrats, Independents. Black and white. Gay and Straight. Men and women. North and South. East and West. You and me.
