"Where The Wild Things Are" is a shitty book...even for kids...

Even Michael Puckett might agree! (I haven’t asked him yet though, so I’m not sure).

Movie night date is set!

/ By Student Government Assocation

I’m on my way out the door to a Minority Communicators Meeting but I thought I’d blog before I ran out the door.

The meeting times, place, title and date has been set for the first controversial movie night. The first movie that will be shown is a Spike Lee Joint, “Do the Right Thing”. This movie will focus on race relations in Brooklyn, New York. A common theme in the movie is, “Fight the Power”.

If you’re curious look up “Fight the Power” or Public Enemy and listen to the song.

Anywhoo—-

“Do the Right Thing” will be shown in Cherry Hall 125 Auditorium at 7:30 on Oct. 22nd! A discussion will follow and a guest speaker will be present. We have yet to decide on a guest speaker but when that information is given to me I will blog yet again.

Welp, I’m dashing out the door!

Have a good’un!

Ms. Gooch
