Hex and the City

People have told me over the years that their lives are pretty normal and, well, boring. Rush on Colbert

Don’t even act like you don’t like Rush. I mean, it’s totally understandable if you don’t, but unfortunately you’re wrong. Here’s a no-frills-just-Rush clip of the show.

The entire episode is here. Also, there’s a huge article in this month’s Rolling Stone on Toronto’s greatest rock band. Much love this month for the nerdiest band in Prog, apparently.

  1. -Rush is often considered the smartest band in rock. If you don’t care about excellent instrumentality (ie: you’re a fan of KISS or The Eagles) at least respect their tendency to avoid repeated choruses.

-It’s very much a music of it’s time, though. 70’s Prog Rock is, among other things, a celebration of technology. If your first computer didn’t come in eight parts, I understand why Rush may seem forgettable.
