Via Audio performs with Sleeper Agent at Greener Groundz on Wednesday, March 25.
Via Audio is a four-member band from Brooklyn that plays indie-dance goodness which warms the soul. These ramblers blew into town on their way back to New York from their gig at South by South West, March 26. Wednesday night they played a show with Sleeper Agent at Greener Groundz in Bowling Green.
After the energy-infused explosion, this reporter asked them a few questions gathered in her Lisa Frank notebook. At the conclusion of the interview, band member Jessica, gifted said reporter with a colored picture of Jabba the Hutt, on which she had written her name in blue sparkling gel pen. The fun-loving aura of this band exists beyond their stage presence.
Via Audio is Adam Sturtevant, David Lizmi, Tom Deis, Jessica Martins.
Rise Over Run How did you guys get together to form Via Audio?
Adam Sturtevant I was playing acoustic guitar at a nursing home in Boston as entertainment. Then, David came to the nursing home; we met, and started to play together.
David Limzi I met Jessica and she was playing Lisa Loeb covers and smoking stogies (snickering) and told her that I had met some guy Adam who was awesome at harmonica and drums. I said that we should start something up, so we did.
AS Then, we met Tom and Via Audio was born in Boston.
ROR How long has Via Audio been playing together?
DL Five and a half years
AS Seven, if you count the nursing home.
